Repeating In Numbers (Triolet Poem)

Repeating in numbers and I see it; curious. Unusual is the date and this phenomenon. Wondering what to make of this. Repeating in numbers and I see it; curious. Questioning whether this is good or not. Inquiring whether it means anything or not. Repeating in numbers and I see it; curious. Unusual is the date and this phenomenon. In It All

Somewhere in the night I wait, wait for change and food, after a trying day that took everything I had. Somewhere in the ending of a day, in the middle of the week I wait, writing as I wait. I think, consider the day's events, and dare to hope in spite of the trials faced. Somewhere in the middle of it all, of all that's encountered, all that a Wednesday would dare throw my way, I still hope in Jesus; somewhere in the night, waiting for food and change in it all.  Sidenote: If any of the writing on this blog has made a good impact on your life in someway (EVEN if it was something you may have enjoyed reading for a particular reason), please feel free to share this blog with someone else who could be blessed also. Blended Together (Triolet Poem)

Blended together, this is what it looks like. This strange mixture of food that speaks to life. Thinking again on the famous hot dishes I knew.  Blended together, this is what it looks like. Using what you have, and making the most of it. Embracing what is there, and making the best of it. Blended together, this is what it looks like. This strange mixture of food that speaks to life. For It

I sit here with a blank screen, just writing thoughts. Nothing is showing up that's worth writing; still I'm writing, just writing. I sit here in the loud around, in the middle of another busy day where something else on a to-do list is being done while I wait. I reflect on past choices, timeless truths and promises, and collect myself in the middle of a valley; one of busy, in between tasks. I sit here as I seek to empty the heavy, the weight of aging, of an ever-challenged margin, and I write.       I can still walk. I can still process, seeing through the fog of all-at-once moments. I am still continuing forward by the grace of God. I sit here with a black and white screen now, one of white background and black writing that shows I'm not held, just heavy; where I'm grateful for this release of busy living, where grace is coming through, and I'm grateful to Jesus for it.  Sidenote: If any of the writing on this blog has made a goo...

From The Beginning (Nonfiction Experiment)

"Just one word." , I think, "Start there." , I continue to consider, starting from the beginning; with just one word. Soon it's two, then three, writing to process and find a healthy outlet. Soon it grows, little by little, as a man takes a walk, making his way through city streets and back to a cul-de-sac where he first began, embracing what he may. It wasn't grandiose, or undeniably memorable, only welcomed to the tired old man as he returns to himself after a visit with family and a long trip; returned before physically and now mentally, much more than before. After reflecting back on the drive there and back not long ago, on his short walk through the small town, then back to home. After his moment of remembrance and gratitude that came, grateful to remember what's good. This nameless fictional man and I share new, share reflections, share gratitude for the grace to remember, and a start to an unknown day a little at a time; and with i...

We Travel (Triolet Poem)

The land rises and falls in our days.  Here we travel on these unknown roads.  Here we hope regardless of changing days.  The land rises and falls in our days.  We hope in the unchanging. We hope in Jesus who sustains.  The land rises and falls in our days. Here we travel on these unknown roads.  Sidenote: If any of the writing on this blog has made a good impact on your life in someway (EVEN if it was something you may have enjoyed reading for a particular reason), please feel free to share this blog with someone else who could be blessed also. Just Life (Non-Fiction Experiment)

It's sunny outside, and still I feel clouds. It's warm and clear (even after morning fog); and still rain pours down within. So I look past the pleasant atmosphere outside, moving deep into a God-given imagination that reminds me to dream, dream past the nine-to-five I'm at. They walk somewhere on a new world, two explorers with great hopes of new horizons that break past every limitation of the everyday. They dream as they walk, seeing each new discovery with fresh eyes as remarkable and wonderful, adventurous! They walk a new terrain through some old neighborhood that becomes the wild adventures of space in their imaginations. They walk, I walk, and we all see the extraordinary in the ordinary world around us, as fictional characters and I engage a real willingness to see the remarkable again; as we all look through worlds of God-given imaginations that see it all larger than just life.  Sidenote: If any of the writing on this blog has made a go...

A Little Expression

A little expression, to ascension. A word or two, to make it through. A sentence to climb higher, rekindle hope's fire. A little expression today, looking to Jesus to lead the way. No Pressure

No pressure, just writing, expressing self again. Here it falls off in the act. Here I'm listening as I walk down a page; listening as God-given inspiration speaks. No pressure, just writing, expressing self again; here it falls off in the act, pressure. To Survive A Winter

To survive a winter, or whatever this, I press forward, intentionally, strategically. To overcome a strange time, with strange weather and forecasts that keep changing I look once more in the slow down that cold brings. To the adjustments of ever changing weather from cold to warmer and everything in between, and how I am to respond. I take longer moments (even if only seconds longer) to take in the terrain and move differently there.             To survive a winter, or whatever this is, I remember to live, taking every "hot cup of something" moment and savoring it. Every warmer, sunnier, day as the reminder light isn't gone, and neither is grace. I learn to take it in better, adjust in the varying "weather", and remember Jesus is faithful, even when the weather changes. On The Eve

On the eve of something, I feel it; a transition before breakthrough, so I write through. On the start before success, starting again, to make way into a new felt, on the eve of something. For A Short Time

Glass that ripples. Light that enters and I am listening, listening as grace returns in a warm day from an otherwise cold winter start. Glass ripples in water shown beautiful and inviting to a tired soul as mine. "Rest, even if only for a moment."; and I listen to hope's invitation and pause in the short moment of renewal on an otherwise busy day. Here there is mercy. Here there is renewal. Here I am restored; even in the short moments such as this one along the lakeside where I am working at a house for a short time. Thank You Jesus for renewal and rest!  Sidenote: If any of the writing on this blog has made a good impact on your life in someway (EVEN if it was something you may have enjoyed reading for a particular reason), please feel free to share this blog with someone else who could be blessed also. Car After Car

Car after car and I'm waiting, somewhere in a night transition between a busy six day week of work, cold, and running that seems to never end. Stop then go and I'm in between, waiting for some provision for my family and I, wondering when the rest will be. Lights that pierce the night fast approaching remind me to hope, for the darkness of the unknown and the in between seasons will not last; rest will come.             Change comes and goes, but hope remains to all who will believe it; and I believe it. I know the rest will come; in the meantime in between time I'll take every second and minute offered to find restoration and renewal for my worn soul and body.  Sidenote: If any of the writing on this blog has made a good impact on your life in someway (EVEN if it was something you may have enjoyed reading for a particular reason), please feel free to share this blog with someone else who could be blessed also....

Delivers (Non-Fiction Experiment)

Tired. Tired. Trials trying. Trials tough. Tired, torn; trials trying, trying to take down. Heavy, hard; hope happens however. Hope happens here. Faith found. Mercy momentarily. Healing here. Jesus justifies; delivers.  Sidenote: If any of the writing on this blog has made a good impact on your life in someway (EVEN if it was something you may have enjoyed reading for a particular reason), please feel free to share this blog with someone else who could be blessed also. When Needed

Just live, in the going, listening as Jesus leads. Just be, present in each moment, as much as possible. Just live; pausing for longer when needed. How (Poetry)

This poem (below) is written in response to a writing prompt recently given where you have to describe the taste of a surprising food in the most creative way. Enjoy. How (Poetry) How does one describe such a taste, from such an unassuming fruit? How does one give explanation to such a tiny thing? Just write as you think, A slap in the face, then the kindest hug; this is how to describe a Kiwi's taste. Paused

Paused and methodical, the intentionality and the focus: speak good and Godly, then rest. Stopped in the action, sometimes longer, yet it is intentional. He speaks and I'm listening; rest when you need, speak good, Godly. Here I'm resting, after speaking, here on a page, listening as God speaks to me through David in Psalm 34.
