For It

I sit here with a blank screen, just writing thoughts. Nothing is showing up that's worth writing; still I'm writing, just writing. I sit here in the loud around, in the middle of another busy day where something else on a to-do list is being done while I wait. I reflect on past choices, timeless truths and promises, and collect myself in the middle of a valley; one of busy, in between tasks. I sit here as I seek to empty the heavy, the weight of aging, of an ever-challenged margin, and I write.

I can still walk. I can still process, seeing through the fog of all-at-once moments. I am still continuing forward by the grace of God. I sit here with a black and white screen now, one of white background and black writing that shows I'm not held, just heavy; where I'm grateful for this release of busy living, where grace is coming through, and I'm grateful to Jesus for it.
