Waking This Time

I wander in night, making moves in cover of darkness. I travel through the hidden places, to use what is for a better "what will be". I wake at first light; sometimes. Waking this time to seek better, hoping for better. Chilly and bright, in this morning light, from cold made way in the time of night, of late previous day. Moving, praying, walking slowly today. Hoping still as I'm walking, worn from a heavy yesterday. Half (Triolet Poem)

Half the week in the beginning.  Starting a day and some writing.  Writing something, somehow.  Half the week in the beginning.  Beginning now, even in the busy.  Beginning something, even in the rush. Half the week in the beginning.  Starting a day and some writing. Words In A Day (Triolet Poem)

Just jotting down some words in a day. Taking a moment to process the process. Emptying heavy within to move better, faster. Just jotting down some words in a day. Considering the busy morning, and reviewing. Reflecting on an unpredictable day. Just jotting down some words in a day. Taking a moment to process the process. After (Pantoum Poem)

Longer I'd write, shortening after.  First more, then a little less.  Up and down as the struggle was embraced.  Up and down, writing varying word counts.  First more, then a little less.  Longer story written first.  Up and down, writing varying word counts.  Whittled down to the right count.  Longer story written first.  Looking after at the smaller.  Whittled down to the right count.  One, then two, as a lessen and hone words.  Looking after at the smaller.  Up and down as the struggle was embraced.  One, then two, as I lessen and hone words.  Longer I'd write, shortening after. Just A Minute Or Two

Just a minute or two to write something through, tired and worn and beat up too. Expressing the hurt in minute three and four, emptying me to open the door. Five and six I find there's a fix, building while walking I add to the mix, stones on a foundation and then I add sticks.           Seven and eight, starting to feel great, building hope and strength again, leading up to nine and ten. Winding down minute nine and ten, where I find I'm healing again, leaving the shackles of hurt within. Just a minute or two to ten or I'm found living stronger again. Cars And Countysides (Triolet Poem)

Cars and countrysides, and I'm waiting. I'm waiting on rest from the running. Going, going, the people keep going. Cars and countrysides, and I'm waiting. Here in the countryside there's constant motion. Here in the countryside life is in motion. Cars and countrysides, and I'm waiting. I'm waiting on rest from the running. Again And Again (Triolet Poem)

Again and again I'll try to get it right. Again and again I'll go back to grace again. Remembering perseverance alone doesn't save. Again and again I'll try to get it right. Looking to the Light again. Listening to Jesus again. Again and again I'll try to get it right. Again and again I'll go back to grace again. A Bitter March

A bitter March, where the valleys have taken tremendously and the mountains climbed were high and dangerous to ascend. A rough go, through much we didn't know. Journeying three, wife, son and me, walking through the middles of life and all that means. Watching and praying as one year ends and another begins in my forty-seventh year of breaths taken. Watching and praying as one year has ended and another begins in my wife...a later year; she is still beautiful.           A bitter March of cold and hot, sometimes simple and others not, still we march on journeying three, wife, son and me. Still we march on, even when the roads ahead have been bitter, when they've threatened to make us bitter as we pray against that sour root that can grow; Lord Jesus let it not grow in us. Still we soldier forward, for that good word of promise and hope found in Jesus. Still we march on, through it all, grateful that we are not consumed becau...

Becoming Two

One road, one word before entering. One place, one beginning....in a minute. One more thing to do, but before I do, I'll write. One minute, one word before entering, before starting again, finishing the day as strong as I can as I process the progress and take a moment to clear my head and my heart to start again. One word, becoming two, then three in one minute that became more, to release pressure activate the creative outlet I needed in the busy workday today. There Is A Moment

There is a moment, when light pierces the darkness, when the valley walked through isn't void of any way forward. There is a moment, when circumstances are still there, though they've now lost their hold, and we can walk forward. There is a moment, where the valley doesn't go away, WE go a way forward that Jesus provides, provides as we listen and follow; and I am following.                There is a moment, where we remember the valley doesn't define, only refines, and we continue toward a mountaintop, appreciating it more as we remember what it took to get there that makes it more valuable to us.  Sidenote: If any of the writing on this blog has made a good impact on your life in someway (EVEN if it was something you may have enjoyed reading for a particular reason), please feel free to share this blog with someone else who could be blessed also. When

When bravery is hope; I'll hope. When courage is believing good is still possible; I'll be courageous. Lifting Gold (Triolet Poem)

Intentional is the effort to highlight the hidden. Lifting gold from it's mines held in.  The quarters pulled from filth and cleaned. Intentional is the effort to highlight the hidden.
