        This poem (below) is written in response to a writing prompt recently given where you have to describe the taste of a surprising food in the most creative way. Enjoy.

How (Poetry)


How does one describe such a taste,

from such an unassuming fruit?

How does one give explanation to such a tiny thing?


Just write as you think,

A slap in the face,

then the kindest hug;

this is how to describe a Kiwi's taste.

          I saw the child before me, showing joy and innocence, present in the present and fully embracing jubilation even in the everyday. When I Feel Invisible

         When I feel invisible, I slip into it, walk through life and humanity undetected; sometimes. I revel in the lack of pressure to measure up, to be something instead of someone.            When I feel invisible, I embrace the grace, create in the quiet that is granted, and look again. Look again at what I value, what I believe, where I find my worth and identity. In the hidden there is room to grow and my soul rejoices.             When I feel invisible, forgotten, I reflect back again, speak back to myself, and remind me I'm not, I just feel that way sometimes.
