With A Pen (An Older Poem I Wrote)

With a pen,

I'll pour out my heart,

empty me,

clear clutter for new growth in me.

With a pen,

I'll recreate,

build a healthier me,

a healed me.

With a journal,

I'll write my soul,

my sorrows down,

to leave them there,

serving only to remind how far I've come,

what's been overcome,

and that it can.

With a moment,

I'll use these tools,

make a new way,

in this new light,

new slate of twenty four hours;

make these steps firm Lord.
