The Parking Lot (An Older Poem I Wrote)

Suddenly here,

looking 'round at it all,

possibility ready for the taking,

amid this vast expanse of the same,

of the parking lot.

How long;

a question wondered,

anxious are these eyes that seek change,

this heart that fears it has been forgotten,

ever expecting better to pull up,

here in the parking lot.

A stop on the way,

found wandering the concrete landscape before them.

to live the goal,

reach abundant,

get past enough,

beyond this place,

of the parking lot of life.
