Powerful (An Older Poem I Wrote)

Strength given in weakness.

Magnificence of this unusual transaction,

the Divine shown in the finite creation!

Here is where wonder and awe are displayed in full!


Powerful is the redemption found in life,

found in the least sought after places,

in the most unexpected of all creation,

at the most surprising of times!


The broken get it.

The worn and jaded receive it.

The least of these are given it,

given and used completely.


Powerful is the Provider of all Good,

the God who alone holds the weary and weak,

who alone gives second chances to the wayward!

Powerful are the provisions given,

the potency found in the saving,

found in the Redeemer of all!


Great God of all,

You alone make us powerful,

make me powerful,

and I couldn’t be without You!

Just Write (How To Create When You're Beginning And Feeling Overwhelmed)

               You’re stuck. You feel empty. Overthinking seeks to imprison you; you can’t be shackled though, unless you don’t try. Just write. Don’t worry if it’s perfect, or even how much you will be able to write. Listen as you do, listen as that “inner writer” speaks (for they will) and words will arrive to meet you. First a few words will gather together, one by one, making complete pictures; small actions to a bigger result of greater writing. The little will grow, and so will your confidence. I Will Stand My Ground

        Light breaks through as clouds of despair are pierced, as hope begins to shine bright again, fierce and unrelenting. Life enters with the wind where change casts it's welcome breezes, and here I breathe in this refreshing shift of resolve.         Small steps are taken toward the dawning of renewal, a faith restored again as a good to be is reassured and seen in parts with each movement to healing; healing to grace for the broken, direction for the lost...for us all.
