Three In One (Part Four) (An Essay, A Poem, A Fiction Story I Wrote in one post)
It's been my hope ever since I started writing to not only express myself, but to make a greater impact through this God-given ability of writing (and maybe one day even earning a residual income through it; but I dream...and pray). May these works bless someone today; and thank you for your support!
It'll Take (Non-Fiction)
It'll take effort, but don't be afraid to take that effort. It'll take time, but it will be worth it in the end. It'll take discernment, honing how to recognize the way through and acting on the insight given. It'll take grace when it doesn't work out the first time (anything worth doing ever does). It'll take prayer, remembering to seek Jesus in (and through) the whole process; for this is the way to truly succeed in something GOOD.
Keep going, it'll take perseverance as well; you can do this!
Again (A Poetic Experiment)
This piece is simply me reflecting on learning a new way to write: with words all of the same first letter.
Again another angle,
Again another ability,
Again alighting arrows always;
Always arranging another avenue.
Confident (An Older Fiction Story I Wrote)
He didn't feel very confident in his abilities, still he knew he had to try, so he did. First water began spewing everywhere. Then he'd find himself forgetting the procedures to fix the problem, even failing to remember what each piece was called!
It was a journey he knew he had to take. It was one that would pay off in the end, so he did. Months later he was still struggling to master his plumbing craft. Now, his training was truly being put to the test, as was his confidence.
After several tries, he managed to fix it. It began working properly with no leaks and no clogging. The single mom thanked him over and over, grateful for this no-charge service that she couldn't have afforded on her own but needed. After some of the worst jobs (and results) done over those few months, he finally began to feel more confident; even if he was awfully wet.
Sidenote: If any of the writing on this blog has made a good impact on your life in someway (EVEN if it was something you may have enjoyed reading for a particular reason), please feel free to share this blog with someone else who could be blessed also. Thank you for your support!
