By A Dim Light (An Older Poem I Wrote)

Seen,

though barely,

this change,

this moment to seize,

to embrace better,

by a dim light.

 

Slowly,

it happens,

this progression toward best,

taking full advantage,

making every step on this path count,

the way toward our providence,

by a dim light we are travelling,

a journey to such a great and glorious hope!

          I saw the child before me, showing joy and innocence, present in the present and fully embracing jubilation even in the everyday. I witnessed the fun still evident in the fundamental responsibilities of daily living as the aging youth went about their day. I saw dancing, then the timid pulling back of a child-like nature.
