Ordered Steps (An Older Poem)
One,
two,
counting ways to perfection,
planning life in each second,
in these ordered steps.
Tool and retool,
shaping formless,
though only in small actions,
freedom in structure and freeform shown;
making a new way.
Letting go,
little by little,
while holding on loosely,
in every moment known,
experience encountered,
in these ordered steps,
taken less and less.
