Life Calls (An Older Poem I Wrote)

Life calls,

and I will listen.

I will engage,

not merely exist.

Life calls,

and I will live,

past the to-dos,

beyond simply fulfilling responsibilities.

Life calls,

and I will answer,

with action,

with words,

with involving myself in what is given,

with enjoyment in it,

this gift given.

Life calls,

and I will be found living,

here in this beautiful blessing,

grateful for this privilege!
