This Dim Light

           This dim light says "Write.", so I do. Not out of compulsion, but creation. This dim light bids me "Enter in.", so I enter into creation's playground, where both joy and the constructive still remain. 

            Here I write, listening as I empty myself, excitedly wondering what God will show me as I enter this dim light to create again.

Maybe I Can....

            Maybe I can write something, here in the middle. In the middle of a chaotic work day. In the middle of hardship and pressure under the load of a workday. Maybe I can create, just create, to make room and space for good, for healthy. Maybe I can make something good that has impact; so I'll try.             I'll empty me again, in the heavy loads of a Thursday workday, of a brutal pace and pressure, remembering Jesus redeems EVEN here, writing to make room for good inside again as He works. More Than What You See

             I've tried MANY ways to write better. Some have been harder than others to learn, and some I still haven't learned (to be fully transparent). Some are EXTREMELY fun (The Triolet, Pantoum poems and various experimental styles of writing come to mind).                One other that I've been able to learn is Ekphrastic. It's simply a poem that is inspired by a piece of art, and your "reaction" to it. They are free of structure, and open to interpretation of a piece of art. One I wrote in March for a paying publication that was rejected is listed below.
