Changes To This Blog (Not Bad)
You'll start to see this more, me posting less to manage both time and this blog better. I will still be writing, but I wanna make sure I'm able to post better content here. I started this blog to express myself both for therapy and to create something honest yet constructive and creative, while sharing these words in hopes of inspiring and encouraging others around me (however that would be). Lately life has been REALLY busy. I may post more on certain days as the creativity sparks and Jesus leads me, but it will be only a few times a week versus 6-7 days a week. So, I'm restructuring this blog in that way. You'll see dates posted more spread out. So, since it's been REALLY BUSY, and to post SOMETHING, I'm reposting older writing that went unread below. As always thank you for your support; also the winter writing was posted in January (to be honest about the timeline of that).
Practicing The Steps (First Triolet Poem I've Ever Written)
Practicing the steps.
Trying to remember lines.
Looking on the patterns again.
Practicing the steps.
Counting, one, two, three.
"What was repeated I ask?", I ask myself.
Practicing the steps.
Trying to remember lines.
Snow Much Writing (Winter writing Collaboration)
On A Cold Winter's Night (Non-Fiction)
On a cold winter's night, I saw the sight: tiny stars that lit up the night. On a cold winter's night, I thought I might, dare to hope as I looked to this light; beautiful stars that made beautiful that night.
On a cold winter's dark, the contrast was stark, even when icy chill's call did hark; I looked again and I did see, hope in cold darkness suddenly surrounding me. It wouldn't be long, then night would be gone, as God spoke to me: "There is still light; just look and see." .
So I looked up and down, the cold night sky, and I saw Heaven's lights and fear started to fly. Hope grew in me, on a cold winter's night, when I saw God's reminder of hope in His light.
Shimmering And Shining (Non-Fiction)
Shimmering and shining amid the cold and the frost that blankets some field on a winter's day. Shimmering and shining even in the sunshine coming through a cold January day. Beautiful as diamonds is winter's treasures, seeing something amazing even though it's freezing.
As Far As The Eye Can See(Nonfiction)
As far as the eye can see, a sea of white all around me. Wondering if this is an oasis, or some my kind of desert. Falling, falling, and I can't help but panic a bit inside; will it subside? Yet there's gratitude I also can't hide, grateful for a rest, wondering if this is rest, or some sorta test to trust Jesus more.
"What else is in store; will there be more?" , thinking to myself, praying here, "Jesus, be near.", looking out upon the land.
As far as the eye can see, hoping it's rest in the snow all around me. Looking in toward our little "igloo", praying over my family too. Here I'll use what "pause" is known, looking for a way that's shown. Listening ever intently, praying , "Jesus, be with us, help us to see. We're looking, we're pausing for a little bit, let Your presence and grace be known in the middle of it. We look to You to lead us through, to shield us and others too; looking outward we trust in You.". Speaking this in Jesus' name, the One who always remains the same.
As far as hope can see, I'll take this mustard seed and trust in Thee (Jesus), through faith that's stirred and placed there, as I seek to place my family and I in Jesus' care.
Singing (6-Word Fiction)
"Singing, singing!". Carolers heard, widower healing.
Stop (A Hiaku Triolet Poem)
Stop, then go again.
Stop, then appreciate life.
Go, be productive.
Stop, then go again.
Go, making the most of here.
Go well in this day.
Stop, then go again.
Step, then appreciate life.
