Words Upon The Page (An Older Poem I Wrote)

As a child with a new toy am I,

discovering the skills and words that meet here,

this transaction most strange.

Thoughts and emotions left to wander,

wander within me as they blur,

blur then focus to become ideas and concepts.

Lifeless to life upon this arena of creation.

Conversations heard as they speak among themselves.

My soul hears them and delights.

Words upon the page living and being,

who I am fleshed out,

made manifest on paper.
