Vulnerable (Showing My "Work")
Below are three DIFFERENT sections of notes in my phone of writing words that came to me. The first starts with "Heard" , an encounter I had and did my best to finish (sorta). The other two are incompleted . I will note which are which, but decided to show these to encourage someone to not be afraid to show themselves "warts and all" as the old saying goes (revealing your shortcomings or flaws, for any who are unfamiliar with the saying). It's okay to be human and not have it all together sometimes, and sometimes showing this can be a blessing to others when they feel alone in their failures and shortcomings. You.aren't.alone.
This is the first "completed" poem (this is my silly side showing. Not trying to express any disrespect here with this)
Heard
Heard a truck "fart" today,
As he stepped on the gas in a really loud way.
It may have smelled,
It's hard to say;
I only heard from inside today.
It was large,
it was loud,
I wonder if he'd still feel proud,
knowing what I heard that day,
lifted truck where I'll just say,
I heard someone's exhaust "fart" today,
crackling in that engine way.
This is a poem (just below) that started appearing to me in my thoughts on a REALLY hot day. May finish it but I'm not sure yet)
Black is the road along the way,
holding in fires I don't want to stay.
Bright are the lines that order some way,
one I'm aware of on this hot day.
During the heat spell here I saw a cat walking down a hot road among a bunch of old houses. It was...."quiet" there and much busier around that area. Most seemed to pass by without noticing, and this contrast struck me; then these words below started appeared in my head...for maybe a poetic essay; not sure yet.)
Down an old street walked a life, among the old houses that lined either side of the street, where busy distracted humanity from this one lone life. Down an old street on a hot day this wanderer made their way.
