Two In One (Part Three) (Two Prose Pieces I Wrote In One Post)

Sharing two pieces I wrote in one post to make a greater impact for someone today. May these pieces be a blessing to someone; and thank you again for your support!

Identical (An Older Fiction Story I Wrote)

I went to get another cup of coffee. I was tired, yeah just tired. Surely if I woke up the problem would be solved. After all, it's not easy tricking a caffeinated person.

Then it happened again! Was she just really fast or something?! Over and over I'd find my co-worker in the same places of the office as I (and before I could get there!). I thought I was losing it, seriously!

Each day this happened, for five days. I seriously wondered if I was having a nervous breakdown. I considered self-committing into one of those mental institutions on day five when I saw two of the exact same co-worker in front of my eyes. As I stood in shock, they both laughed (this didn't help the matter); then they explained they were identical twins and decided to play a joke on me. Guess that's what I get for regularly pranking a co-worker who happens to have an identical twin.

Scored (An Older Non-Fiction Piece I Wrote)

The vast chasms became passable, little by little a way was made. Mountains would be climbed, though this time it wouldn't be as hopeless. In the ascension paths were scored into the heights that stretched upward, a large task was made less and therefore possible. The climb required an iron will (or at very least an unquenchable willingness to attempt it), and this is the beginning, praying through it all.

One step then two as forward motion was made, scored into the impossible was hope that empowered, actions that were taken to the top where success was. Small actions made the big difficult task into a journey (an enjoyable one even!); the one I took to scrape off and break up some of the most stubborn ice on this mountain of a task.

Sidenote: If any of the writing on this blog has made a good impact on your life in someway (EVEN if it was something you may have enjoyed reading for a particular reason), please feel free to share this blog with someone else who could be blessed also. Thank you for your support!
