Two In One (Part Five) (Two Shorter Fiction Stories I Wrote In One Post)
Sharing two fiction stories I wrote in one post to be more efficient (maybe even a bit easier), and to make more of an impact to someone today. May this be a blessing to someone; and thank you for your support!
Gather (An Older Fiction Story I Wrote)
Gather. The word appeared in his mind and he couldn't shake it. "Gather what?", he questioned, and then stepped outside.
Deciding to take a walk he travelled several streets. Slowly they started appearing, for sale signs of houses with info sheets in boxes included. Gather. The word entered his mind again, and this time he listened.
Several years had passed and he thought of the journey, the new house he lived in, had the courage to bid on, the walk that offered a second chance. Whether it was God helping him or not he knew one thing: he would gather gratitude this time for help when he believed himself helpless.
From Right Here (A Slightly Older Fiction Story I Wrote)
It shone, bright, bold, almost blinding. It was more than the tangible thing held though that displayed this; it was also from the wielder of it. Such an amazing light it was, from right here in this moment!
The timid boy was no longer timid. The courage was now obvious...from right here. In his heart he was a lion, and from right here this nature grew in him. It filled his thoughts, then moved to his soul; he embodied it in his VERY presence!
Held high, the once toy sword glowed a bright golden color! It instilled terror in the would be bullies who were previously ready to assault him mercilessly, cowering now in fear before him! He screamed loud and defiantly his battle cry as he held the golden sword, his enemies held in place by fear before they could move; Then they ran for safety!
From right here, within the moment, the boy was fearless. From right here the victim became the victor. Everything changed in that moment, where this once simple toy became the very thing that empowered him, something no one (even the boy) could understand.
Note about the piece Above: Our son used to have a slightly orange toy sword. When playing with it, he pretended being an unstoppable warrior. I wondered how this would look in the outside world (in this case to a timid child needing courage), and to all those around the person who held the toy that were witnessing this, what effect it would have.
Sidenote: If any of the writing on this blog has made a good impact on your life in someway (EVEN if it was something you may have enjoyed reading for a particular reason), please feel free to share this blog with someone else who could be blessed also. Thank you for your support!
