Time (An Older Fiction Story I Wrote)
She spoke to the waves, commanded them to listen, to speak when spoken to, and they did. The wild was tame now, manageable this time. Time. The thing easy to see for her. The world around her, heartbeats of everything and they were heard and understood clearly to this one.
She swam quickly, moved effortlessly through a day. To everyone around her it was only seen as a blur, as some superhuman power. To her it was time, it was listening to the heartbeats of everything, and she controlled herself enough to thrive in it all. Nothing was manipulated, her attention was merely used well, and it was good....especially when she could get to an accident waiting to happen...like the little child falling into the water. She was in time.
Sidenote about the piece: This is one of my fiction attempts at trying to make a more realistic superhero type story. In this case I'm considering someone with "super speed", and making it more ...relatable I guess.
