Monumentally (6-Word Non-Fiction)

Monday morning, making moments matter Monumentally. Sidenote: If any of the writing on this blog has made a good impact on your life in someway (EVEN if it was something you may have enjoyed reading for a particular reason), please feel free to share this blog with someone else who could be blessed also. Between Two Buildings

Between two buildings on some busy street corner of a small town I walk, looking as I go. Their towering walls catch my attention more than usual and it makes me pause in soul. Old and worn these brick waves rise and remain, battered and worn as they are.  Still, they stand tall, unyielding to all that life would throw at them. There's a story there I know (probably several I imagine), and I consider it as I walk and inspect for my job.           Between stops and towns I continue, feeling the weight of a cold day and a long route to travel; still I travel. It's not bright, not sunny or scenic, just cold and melancholy. Between two states of mind I walk again, remembering it can't be cold and cloudy forever; so I rise and remain, battered and worn of soul, despite what life throws at me. Between it all I continue, remembering these "cloudy cold days" will not last forever. Sidenote: If any of the writing on this blog has mad...

Maybe It's...

Maybe it's not about whether people read, but whether I write, somewhere in busy times and high pressure moments. Maybe it's not about a large following (or any following), but simply writing, creating while leaving the results to Jesus. Maybe it's not about the readership at all, but simply getting lost in the act of creating anything, and remembering Jesus can bless it all. So I'll write to find a new grace in this weird place of life; and live again.  Sidenote: If any of the writing on this blog has made a good impact on your life in someway (EVEN if it was something you may have enjoyed reading for a particular reason), please feel free to share this blog with someone else who could be blessed also. These Small Acts

I'm suffocating in soul, struggling to breathe, breathe in the busy. Slowly I'm learning, learning shallow breaths of small acts leading to deeper breaths and greater air of healing. I'm reaching the surface, surface of deep waters of busy, where I've been, learning to break the strong grip of these thick waters and live again. Learning the value of intention through these small acts of margin that lead to life and wholeness. Remembering The Way

"What do I write; on a day that's been rough, when I've felt off, when the road of life keeps winding here and there through a day?", I wonder to myself. My thoughts are heavy, along with my heart, finishing a day that's nearly beat me to death; still there's a need to release the pressure of a day.               It turns, turns to creativity as each word is written, becomes something empowering as the weight is used to create. It changes and changes me, making hope a possible thing as I considered such a wild day. I reflect, I consider what's unfolded and where grace stepped in. I pause, look once more at how it's all happened, and where Jesus worked. I take moments, scattered ones, and simply rest in some gratitude, remembering the way made that I couldn't have found without Jesus.  Sidenote: If any of the writing on this blog has made a good impact on your life in someway (EVEN if it was something y...
