Lights (An Older Fiction Story I Wrote)

Lights, and they lit the night, here there and everywhere. The scary lonely void became something else: magical, a wonder to see. Hope was awoken in tired souls.

The once commonplace transformed their broken world to something good for a time. In the sorrow there was joy welling up, healing in the wonderful mystery unfolding before them. Somehow these lights were healing their family's illnesses, and ever faintly a soft singing was heard; no words, just music. Here among the lights hovering it was all made new and whole again: the life of a little girl fighting a dragon called Cancer. Here, some way, the lights seen that night changed it all.
