Words And Actions (An Older Mother's Day Poem I Wrote)

Words and actions,

ones of love,

done in love,

a mother's love known through these.

Words and actions,

revealing a soul most beautiful,

a mother's beauty not forgotten,

but shown bright for all to see!

Through words spoken,

a life is renewed and refreshed,

empowered to be who they were meant to be:

their best.

Through actions done is there found inspiration,

encouragement in such selflessness,

a mother's devotion seen fully in this:

giving of herself.

I see you,

I hear you,

mother,

in your words and actions,

what you face and how you love,

what you bless us with:

you and your best.

We see you and we love you,

we who are blessed to have witnessed it all,

we who are sons,

we who are daughters,

we who know you as mother,

as grand and great grandmother,

we who are grateful,

beyond expression of words and actions,

for yours and for you,

thank you!

Note About The Piece:This is a older mother's day poem I wrote for my wife and all mother's out there (for family isn't just flesh and blood); and though it's unofficially Mother's Day, Mother's Day isn't just one day a year. Soooo...to all the Mother's out there, (and even those who stepped into the gap to fill that role for someone), this poem is for you also; thank you for being you!

Sidenote: If any of the writing on this blog has made a good impact on your life in someway (EVEN if it was something you may have enjoyed reading for a particular reason), please feel free to share this blog with someone else who could be blessed also. Thank you for your support!
