Later That Night (A Slightly Older Poem I Wrote)
Later that night,
when the day left us,
we traveled through darkness,
not knowing what trouble lie ahead,
yet daring to face the hidden roads,
explorations that waited for us,
come what may.
Later that night,
when light was gone,
when hope disappeared,
we ventured forward,
counting the blessing more than the trouble faced for it.
Here we held to the good calling out,
to the promise of possibility for beautiful,
for hopeful,
on the other side of night,
and this spark lit the darkest of ways for us.
