For The Silent (An Older Poem I Wrote)

To the silent I go,

giving voice to those who have none.

Speaking for the heavy-hearted and troubled,

granting identity that was once hidden.

To the broken I empower,

confidence through courage as I am heard.

An evil extinguished as I am known,

a captivity to silence is no more.
