A New Unity (An Ekphrastic Poem)

A beautiful huddle,

a unique one,

where unity is inspiring.

Backgrounds and origins that bid us "Come!",

and we draw near,

and I draw near;

seeing such a magnetic picture of love,

and remembering a new unity is possible,

when a rule of gold is established.

Note About The Piece: Recently I began learning about these poems called "Ekphrastic Poems". Basically, they're poems about a poets response or reaction to some piece of art. This is one of those poems I wrote inspired by Norman Rockwell's "Golden Rule" painting.
